Yvonne Lewis

Yvonne is a strategic Business Continuity Professional with 32 years of experience in banking and insurance, 19 of those focused on Business Continuity. She has a proven track record in mitigating operational risk and protecting organizations from interruption to people, processes, facilities, technology and suppliers. Her areas of focus have been Business Continuity Planning, Strategy, Policy and Governance, Program Management and Design, Incident and Crisis Management, Emergency Response, Operational Risk Management, Project Management, Supply Chain Resiliency, and Training Development and Execution.

Yvonne is semi-retired currently dividing her time between independent consulting and active roles in professional associations.

Yvonne is a current Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI) and a Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP). Yvonne was recently a member and rotating chair on business continuity committees with the Canadian Bankers Association, Interbank Contingency Planning Committee and Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada supporting the Canadian financial industry. She was previously a member of the Disaster Recovery Journal (DRJ) Editorial Advisory Board 2005 – 2008, Co-Chair and founder of the DRJ Regulations Committee 2006 – 2008, and team lead for two DRJ subcommittees on Generally Accepted Practices 2005 – 2008.
