Colette Losier Demers
Colette is a certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) with 13 years of experience in the Federal Government in Business Continuity & Emergency Management. She has had the privilege to work in 5 Federal Departments as a (BCM) practitioner and Manager, each contributing to her diverse experience in the field. Colette’s experience has focused on creating and implementing BCM programs and maintaining Departmental compliance with Treasury Board Secretariat & Public Safety Canada standards. She also provides on-going awareness, training and workshops to employees on the fundamentals of BCM, BIAs, BCP vs EM and exercise planning.
She implemented a senior crisis management team (CMT) for her current Department, chaired by the Deputy Minister, and is an active member of this team. Colette is also member of the Disaster Recovery Information Exchange (DRIE) Ottawa Chapter, the EM/BC Community of Practice (Interdepartmental Group) and BCM Program Guide Working Group (Interdepartmental Group), led by Public Safety Canada.
